Drie Susters

After exploring Beaufort West on the first day of our long weekend we decided to take a day trip to a few nearby towns.  We left early on Sunday morning but the road was very busy due to road works.

The interesting place we passed was “Drie Susters” or Three Sisters.  It is not a town but there is a petrol station with a few shops.  The name comes from the three similar round mountains found here.
After passing Drie Susters we turned of and drove into the Nothern Cape Province of South Africa.  The road was very quiet.  The plan was to visit Victoria West, Loxton and Carnarvon before returing to Beaufort West.
More about these towns in the next posts.
